Welcome to the 2023-24 school year at PS201Q, where we are creating the future for our students full STEAM ahead!
I feel extremely fortunate to be the principal of a school with such wonderful children, a motivated and dedicated staff, and families who partner with us to create an environment that facilitates student learning through a wide variety of innovative and collaborative methods and activities. Our faculty and staff are highly committed to providing the most rewarding education possible and making the process of learning an enjoyable experience. Your child's education is our top priority! We look forward to working together with you to make your child’s educational experience a positive one.

Parent Teacher Conferences
Be sure to meet with your child's teachers for Parent Teacher Conferences. These conferences will be held on Thursday, March 7th. Your child's teachers will be arranging appointments prior to this date. Conferences will be held virtually or by telephone conference.

Snow Day/ Emergency Closure Day Readiness
Every student must have a device at home, ready for use in the event of an emergency school closure. Be sure to test your at-home learning device to verify all student accounts are in working order. Report any issues immediately to Mrs. Calderon either at dcalderon@schools.nyc.gov or via Dojo Text.

Grade Level Newsletters
There are many happenings at P.S. 201! Make sure you are up-to-date with events and instruction happening on your child's grade level by reading the monthly newsletters. Did you miss your copy this month? You can check out the Newsletters section of the school website to read it.

Student iPads
Continue to use student iPads to access educational apps like Amira and Waggle at home.

As a magnet school, you may apply to our school as long as you reside in the New York City area. If you applied to P.S. 201Q online and you received an offer, we will reach out to you soon with next steps. Welcome to P.S. 201Q – The School of Research and Discovery!
